Prophet Muhammad SAW.

 

  Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muthalib is our prophet. He is the last prophet and he hast the most ummah. He is very kind to people, and he has fought for us a lot, especially for his ummah.

   At age 40, he began to have revelations from Allah that became the basis for the Quran and the foundation of Islam. “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet.”

The Life of Muhammad

 Muhammad was born around 570, AD (12 Rabi'ul Awal, in the  year of elephant) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. His father died before he was born and he was raised first by his grandfather and then his uncle. He belonged to a poor but respectable family of the Quraysh tribe. The family was active in Meccan politics and trade. He was breastfed by his mother, Tsuwaibah Al-Aslamiyyah, and then Halimah As-Sa'diah. When Muhammad was 6 years old, his mother died.

 Since childhood Muhammad was a shepherd. And he often goes with his uncle to trade.He is not cheating when trading. Therefore Muhammad became a person who could be trusted because of his honesty. He was given the title "Al Amen", the meaning is trustworthy.

In his early teens, Muhammad worked in a camel caravan, following in the footsteps of many people his age, born of meager wealth. Working for his uncle, he gained experience in commercial trade traveling to Syria and eventually from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean. In time, Muhammad earned a reputation as honest and sincere, acquiring the nickname “al-Amin” meaning faithful or trustworthy.

  In his early 20s, Muhammad began working for a wealthy merchant woman named Khadijah, 15 years his senior. She soon became attracted to this young, accomplished man and proposed marriage. He accepted and over the years the happy union brought several children. Not all lived to adulthood, but one, Fatimah, would marry Muhammad’s cousin, Ali bin Abi Talib, whom Shi’ite Muslims regard as Muhammed’s successor.

The Prophet Muhammad

  Muhammad on one of his pilgrimages in 610, he was meditating in a cave on Mount Jabal aI-Nour. The Angel Gabriel appeared and relayed the word of God: “Recite in the name of your Lord who creates, creates man from a clot! Recite for your lord is most generous….” (Al-Alaq 1-5). First, the da'wah stage secretly. In this stage, Muhammad invited his family who lived in the same house and close friends to leave the religion of idols and worship only to Allah alone. Second, the semi-open preaching stage. In this stage Muhammad called on his family in a broader scope. Third, the stage of preaching openly. In this stage Muhammad extends the reach of his invitation, to all the inhabitants of Mecca and those who came to Mecca. It was during this phase that Muhammad got a tough challenge and reaction from the Quraysh. They not only rejected Muhammad's invitation, but also opposed, boycotted and tortured those who supported Muhammad's teachings. They even threatened to kill Muhammad if he continued to spread his message. This Quraysh infidel intimidation lasted for decades. When facing this intimidation of the Quraysh tribe, Muhammad showed extraordinary patience.

 The struggle of the Prophet was extraordinary. In a good way he invites people to return to the right path. with the morality of the AlQuran, he became the best example for the Ummah.


 There was the apostolic period of the Prophet Muhammad in the 10th year at the time of "Amul Huzni" which is the year of mourning where his uncle Abu Talib and his wife Siti Khadijah died and the Muslims were in a miserable condition. In the midst of his sadness, he was picked up by Angel Gabriel for Isra ’Mi'raj, which was to travel from the Aqsa Mosque to the Haram Mosque to the Sidratul Muntaha to meet Allah SWT and to receive the command to pray five times a day.


 In the year 10 H the prophet performed the Wada Hajj or the last Hajj. In his time at Arafat, he delivered his sermon which contained the prohibition of bloodshed except in the right way, the prohibition of taking other people's property improperly, the prohibition on consuming usury, the slave must be treated in a good manner, and so that his people always cling to the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW.

The Death of Muhammad

 After preaching for 23 years, he died at the age of 63..He died on the 12th of Rabi'ul awwal in 11 Hijriyah at the time of dhuha.
